Women's Self-Defense and Personal Fitness ClassesThese classes provide a way for women to practice self-defense away from the traditional martial arts atmosphere. The focus is self-defense and using martial arts movements to promote fitness. Our unique teaching method provides an enjoyable and safe learning experience. Students train in normal workout attire, such as sweats and t-shirt, during these classes. This course was taught for college credit at UT-Arlington from August 1999 until December 2001. The classes grew to such popularity that an additional class of 50 students was added, with an additional 3 classes needed to fill the demand for enrollment.
